To study a solid surface bathtub’s stain-resistant feature, we applied for a “resistance to chemicals and staining agent” test with CTI lab in Shanghai according to “BS EN 14688 ：2015 《Sanitary Appliances-Wash Basins-Functional Requirements And Test Methods》.
Test samples: 100% acrylic solid surface in size 25*25cm, glossy surface, 2pcs
Test method：Drop the reagent-Methylene blue onto the sample surface, put a glass cover onto it for 30 minutes, then take off the glass cover, remove the stain with deionized water or alumina with the deionized water.
Result: PASS — the stain has been successfully removed by deionized water
We believe the test agent Methylene blue will be easier than other normal household chemical liquid to penetrate into the material and hard to be removed after putting for 30 minutes there, however, the test 100% acrylic solid surface samples can withstand the stain, no mark or remaining left after cleaning.
The results tell us that high-quality sanitary products made of 100% acrylic solid surface must be like other ordinary sanitary products, requiring only daily care to keep them away from dirt and durable.
